Stacy Edwards

Dr. Stacy Edwards serves as an Assistant Professor of Education at Milligan University, where he teaches courses in Literacy, Methods, and Instructional Leadership. He is passionate about empowering students as leaders, fostering strong school and community partnerships, and supporting new teachers and administrators as they begin their careers.

With extensive experience in educational leadership, Dr. Edwards has received numerous honors for his contributions to the field. In 2019, he was recognized as a National Distinguished Principal by the National Association of Elementary School Principals and named District Level Principal of the Year in both 2019 and 2023. He also received the 2017 Meritorious Service Award from the Tennessee Principals Association. In addition to his leadership roles, Dr. Edwards has contributed to the field of education through scholarship, co-authoring a chapter titled “Win/Win Collaborations for Preparing Future Teachers” in the book Rethinking School-University Partnerships: A New Way Forward (2021).

A lifelong believer, Dr. Edwards’ faith story is centered on God’s faithfulness, learning to trust Him in all circumstances and rest in His promise that all things work together for good (Romans 8:28).

He deeply values the relationships he forms with students and colleagues at Milligan, finding joy in growing and learning together in Christ. Dr. Edwards is honored to be a part of Milligan’s mission to prepare the next generation of educators to make a meaningful impact in the world.
