Namyoun Choi

Dr. Namyoun Choi is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Milligan University, where she has been teaching a variety of subjects since 2017. Her courses include topics such as data structures, programming in C++, Java, and Python, algorithms, computer architecture, operating systems, prompt engineering for developers, and chatbot development.

Dr. Choi’s research interests span data modeling, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data structures, and programming. She has published several papers in academic journals, with her article “A Survey on Ontology Mapping” receiving significant citation. Additionally, she presented at the 6th NEMO Summer School at the University of Vienna, where she introduced a novel model-based approach for enhancing and aligning educational standards through her presentation, “A Model-Based Method for Information Alignment.”

Having accepted Christ as her personal Savior during her college years, Dr. Choi views teaching as a calling from God. Joining Milligan University was an answered prayer for her, as she had asked God to open the door for her to teach at a Christian institution.

She enjoys teaching at Milligan, where small class sizes allow meaningful interaction with her students. Milligan’s friendly environment, shaped by dedicated Christian faculty and staff, highlights her experience, and she appreciates the opportunity to work alongside them.
