David Knechtel
Associate Professor of Physician Assistant Studies
Dr. David Knechtel is an Associate Professor of Physician Assistant Studies and the Clinical Coordinator at Milligan University, where he oversees the clinical portion of the PA program. His role includes ensuring students are well-prepared for their clinical rotations and equipping them with the skills needed to provide compassionate, high-quality care.
Dr. Knechtel’s notable achievements include co-authoring an internal medicine textbook designed specifically for clinical-year PA students, which has been widely utilized in the field. He recently earned a Doctorate in Medical Sciences with a certificate in healthcare administration, further enhancing his expertise in medical education and administration.
At Milligan, Dr. Knechtel finds fulfillment in mentoring students and working alongside an exceptional team of colleagues. He values the opportunity to form meaningful relationships with his students and colleagues, fostering an environment of collaboration and growth.
