
Mills graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Milligan College in 1988 and graduated from the University of Louisville with a doctorate degree in clinical psychology in 1995. She is now a professor in the undergraduate psychology program and the Master of Science in counseling program. Among the undergraduate courses she teaches are Cross-Cultural Psychology, Learning and Cognition, Positive Psychology, Human Sexuality, and Abnormal Psychology. She teaches Theories of Personality in both the undergraduate and graduate programs.
Mills is also a licensed psychologist in the state of Tennessee. Her clinical work has focused on assessment and psychotherapy with adults. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Intermountain Psychological Association.
