Ashley Held earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University and a Master of Science as well as a Post Professional Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Shenandoah University.
Held has accumulated 20 years of experience in OT practice, working in the areas of school-based, community-based, out-patient, home care, and telehealth. She served as adjunct faculty for 2 years in the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program at Walter’s State Community College. Held’s research interests include the effective use of telehealth in underserved populations and community-based OT.
Held’s teaching responsibilities at Milligan include Lifespan Development, Occupations and Occupational Therapy, Play and Leisure, Community-Based Occupational Therapy, and School-Based OT elective.
Held shares her life in Gray, TN, with her husband, Scott, and their son and daughter. Held is a dedicated servant of the Lord and avid member of Grace Meadows Church in Jonesborough, TN.
