Youth Director

Walnut Christian Church is expanding its current staff and is looking for a part-time Youth Director to engage and develop our children and youth.

Job Description:

• Plan, develop, and implement curriculum for a 45-minute Children’s Church Service (ages 3-10) that will be held in conjunction with normal church service each Sunday.
• Plan, develop, and implement all aspects of a balanced youth ministry to include Jr. and Sr. High students (ages 11-14 and 15-18 respectively) in the areas of group building, worship, discipleship, mission, and outreach. Youth programs will be administered each meeting.
• Recruit and train volunteers to support Children’s Church and Youth Ministry to ensure adequate volunteer support and adult to youth ratios.
• Keep records of youth participation and recommend a youth ministry budget.
• Communicate in a timely manner and as effectively as possible using all available resources (Facebook, email, website, bulletin boards, etc.).
• Ensure that the “Accountability” Policy is observed in all youth ministry settings.
• Plan 1 children and 1 youth activity per month.
• Plan 1 to 2 Youth Trips per year.
