Camp Bays Mountain is a newly established camp and retreat center located in Kingsport, Tennessee. We began as an answer for the need of a United Methodist Camp after the devastating flood of 2012 at Buffalo Mountain Camp. This will be our ninth year at the new site, and we will offer six weeks of residential and day camp for campers in grades 1-12.
While we are a United Methodist camp, we are an ecumenical space for youth of all walks of life to come and experience the love of God through the outdoors. Applicants for this position will be serving as leaders and Christian disciples, so they must be willing to engage in faith conversations and be willing to share about the love of God.

Camp Bays Mountain is seeking Summer Camp Counselors. You will be the primary caregiver/leader of the young campers! Must be 18. All weekends off Friday at 2pm until Sunday at 1:30pm. We need several people who want lifeguard training. Salaries begin at $425/Week. All meals/lodging are provided during the term except for the weekends.
Your role will be leading camp songs, creating skits, leading games, camping outside occasionally, leading group initiatives/challenges, climbing the tower, canoeing at Warriors Path State Park, and going with the flow if it is hot or raining. We need counselors who will LEAD in adventures and can communicate and exhibit the Christian faith.
