Next Gen Pastor

Port Orange Christian Church is a church in Port Orange, FL. Our vision is to be a church that is engaged in “Building real faith and Passing it on.” We exist to help people: (1) connect with God, (2) grow together in the faith with other believers, and (3) learn to serve and share their faith with the world. We are near Daytona Beach, FL and our church is less than 15 minutes away from the beach! We are also about an hour and a half away from Disney and Universal! We also have a big fall festival every year, and we are most known for our cake walk at that event! We hand out over a hundred cakes to the community!

Our office environment is very laid back, and we really enjoy laughing together and sharing our various interests with each other. We also support one another, doing anything we can to support, plan and execute anything happening with our church. We have weekly staff meetings to discuss all upcoming events and other church matters, we also do a weekly study together to develop our own faith and leadership. We attend conferences when able like Spire and Next Level at Compassion Christian Church.

Port Orange is seeking a full-time Next Gen Pastor, a combination of the Children’s and Youth Minister roles. This is a new position, and we are excited! Responsibilities for this role include:

• Provide oversight and leadership for both the Children’s Ministries and Student Ministries.
• Adapt and prepare curriculum.
• Oversee the setup and operation of all Children’s Ministry activities on Sunday mornings.
• Invest, train, and empower volunteers to provide leadership within the Children’s and Youth Ministries.
• Create and effectively manage the budget for your areas.
• Maintain the Children’s and Student Ministries environments.
• Communication with staff and parents.

Reports to: Senior Pastor, Jimmy Sledge and Operations Manager, Megan Ponce
