First Christian Church is a small but growing church in Phillipsburg, KS. For the last 15 years, the church has held to basic evangelical doctrine as a Bible based church. Our church has people in it from many different church backgrounds. In our area, our congregation has become a sort of refuge for theologically conservative, Bible-believing Christians who want to hear Christ preached.

Phillipsburg is a community on the grow, with a thriving downtown area, award winning hotels, highly rated public schools and the recent addition of the United States Largest Wheat Gluten Plant. We have wonderful hunting and fishing opportunities, with five lakes in close proximity, a National Wildlife refuge and varying habitats. Game is abundant including Pheasant, Quail, Dove, Whitetail and Mule deer, Prairie Chicken, and Water Fowl.

First Christian Church is a growing congregation with a wide age range from infants to our senior members, including many families. We are searching for a new full time minister to join us providing leadership along with the elders. This minister role will include but is not limited to:

• Conduct religious services and ceremonies.
• Provide pastoral care and counseling to community members.
• Develop and deliver sermons and teachings that are mainly presented in an expository manner.
• Organize and oversee community outreach programs.
• Plan and lead religious education programs.
• Collaborate with other religious leaders and organizations.
• Manage church or organizational administrative tasks.
• Represent and advocate for the community in public forums.
• Offer spiritual guidance and support to individuals and families.
• Lead prayer meetings and study groups.
• Coordinate special events and religious celebrations.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
• Participate in interfaith activities and dialogue.
