We are an independent (self-governed) Christian church founded on and adherent to the principles of the Restoration Movement; preaching God’s Word, fellowship, partaking weekly of the Lord’s Supper and corporate prayer – (Acts 2:42). We are a warm, welcoming and servant-hearted congregation.

The Atlanta, IN area is one known for agriculture with several rapidly growing communities within 15 minutes of the church location. East Union Christian Church is known in the community for being friendly, caring, and compassionate for those both within and outside the church and volunteerism.

Reports to: church elders

We are seeking a new family minister, someone who will develop/disciple members in 5 values:

1. To conform to the Bible
2. To recognize Gods presence
3. To cultivate their spiritual gifts
4. To serve inside and outside the church
5. To experience authentic community.

The primary focus is to equip, educate and empower people of all ages to know and follow Jesus. Must have a love of God, a love for God’s word and a love for God’s church. We see the responsibilities as including education (instruction, teaching and preaching), evangelism (community), and minister care (general counseling, community outreach, hospital/nursing home and in-home visitation).
