Assistant Trip Leader

Praying Pelican Missions is an interdenominational ministry that exists to build up, encourage, and assist the local Church in serving and reaching their communities for Christ. PPM’s vision is to see a united global Church reaching its fullest potential for the glory of God. We believe the best way to accomplish our mission and vision is to support the local Church 365 days a year. We do this in three ways: short-term mission trips, our sponsorship program PPM365, and disaster response. We seek Christ-centered individuals who have a passion to serve the servants, assisting in facilitating these short-term mission opportunities throughout the spring and summer busy seasons.

PPM is seeking a remote Assistant Trip Leader. As a Seasonal Staff member serving as an Assistant Trip Leader or Trip Leader, you’ll spend time investing in these genuine partnerships by facilitating both logistical and relational aspects of these short-term mission opportunities. PPM staff will stay on site with mission teams, providing them with a mission trip experience in one of our host locations, while also participating in ministry opportunities alongside the teams during the week. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Mentorship & Guidance: Lead team through logistical, relational, and spiritual aspects of their trip.
• Facilitating Ministry: Oversee and support service projects, relational ministry, and outreach. Encourage participants during ministry time while maintaining oversight to ensure that projects and tasks are running smoothly, supplies needed are available, and questions are answered.
• Relational Leadership: Build and maintain positive relationships with local PPM church partners and ministries.
• Debrief & Devotions: Assist in leading evening devotions and Gospel centered debriefs.
• Logistical Support: Properly maintain budget and record trip expenses, help prepare meals for the team each day, manage supplies and inventory, drive to and from ministry sites, and ensure lodging facilities are clean and well-maintained during the week.
