Youth Ministry Lead

CrossPath Church (crosspath.church) is a growing church plant rooted in the heart of Johnson City, TN. We exist to lead people to Jesus through authentic relationships. As a community of believers, we are committed to sharing the Gospel through authentic relationships, bold outreach, and transformative worship.

CrossPath has become known in this community as “That BBQ Church.” We use BBQ as a ministry tool in our area. We have also become very sought after in the annual Christmas parade as we toss out BBQ sliders along the parade route.

We’re seeking a called visionary and passion-driven Youth Ministry Lead to start and lead the
next generation of students to know Jesus, grow in their faith, and join in the mission of making
disciples who make disciples. This role is an opportunity to invest in the lives of middle and high school students. The successful candidate will develop and lead a dynamic youth ministry that engages and disciples middle and high school students in our church and community. This role is flexible and can be shaped to fit full-time, part-time, or bi-vocational ministry, depending on the candidate’s situation and calling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Disciple Students: Lead a Christ-centered ministry focused on the spiritual growth and discipleship of students (grades 6–12).
• Build Missional Culture: Teach and model a lifestyle of mission, encouraging students to live out their faith in everyday life.
• Create & Lead Gatherings: Plan and lead weekly youth gatherings, small groups, and outreach opportunities.
• Engage Families: Partner with parents/guardians in the spiritual development of their teenagers while providing pastoral care and support.
• Develop Volunteers: Recruit, equip, and care for adult leaders who will help shepherd students.
• Raise Support: Build and maintain a team of financial and prayer partners to sustain ministry for a 3-year period (with the possibility to continue beyond).
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with our pastoral staff, volunteers, and parents to create a unified vision for youth ministry that aligns with CrossPath’s mission.
• Discipleship and Mentoring: Build one-on-one relationships with students, providing guidance, accountability, and prayer support to foster spiritual growth.
• Administrative Duties: Manage youth ministry budget (post-fundraising), volunteer recruitment, and safety protocols in line with church policies.
