Invitational Choral Festival Concert

This unique event will bring together talented singers from local high schools along with the Milligan Concert Choir and Orchestra to perform “Sing Evermore” by American composer Gwyneth Walker. Using words from a variety of poets, including Ralph Waldo Emerson, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Sarah Teasdale, and Walt Whitman, the nine different movements of this piece “have the common thread of praising music for its power, its magic, its solace, and its liberation.” In addition to the festival chorus, the concert will open with performances by Concert Choir, Heritage, and student soloists.
