Theatre Arts

You do NOT need to declare a theatre major to be eligible for a theatre scholarship but students receiving a theatre scholarship are required to be involved in the theatre program. The program is looking for excellence in the areas of carpentry, sewing, scenic painting, stage management, pianist, lighting/sound skills, graphic design, box office, and performance.

List the shows you have been involved in and your role in each show.*

Audition & Interview

An on-campus interview with the theatre faculty is required to discuss past theatre-related experience and desired theatre-related achievements during your collegiate years.

Actors should prepare 2 short monologue pieces (1-2 minutes) – one comedic and one dramatic. Students must contact Rita Booher in the Admissions Office at REBooher@milligan.edu or 800.262.8337 to schedule their audition and interview with the theatre faculty.

In addition to scheduling your on-campus interview, you may submit video, audio, or portfolio material by providing a webpage link, uploading a file(s), or mailing us a DVD (Theatre Scholarship, PO Box 210, Milligan, TN 37682.)
