Milligan PA students receive white coats
Milligan University’s third class of physician assistant students received their white coats on Saturday, Feb. 6, in Seeger Memorial Chapel. The ceremony served as a major milestone for Milligan’s 26 physician assistant students as each student walked across the stage to receive their white coat in front of a limited audience of family and friends.
Immigration forum
Milligan University will host an immigration forum on Feb. 4 and 8, featuring immigration advocate Rev. Joel Tooley. The forum, “Thinking Biblically About Immigration,” aims to provide a space for students and faculty to understand immigration issues in the U. S. and consider how best to serve immigrant communities.
Opening Doors: Engineering Students Develop Tool for Housekeeping
When the fall semester began amid a pandemic, Carrie Floyd, service manager for housekeeping, looked for ways to keep her staff as safe as possible. Working in every building on campus, Floyd wanted to reduce their amount of touch points. Students in Milligan’s Introduction to Engineering course worked in groups to design a tool that would meet their needs.

Milligan offering free COVID-safe tax preparation
MILLIGAN UNIVERSITY, Tenn. (Jan. 6, 2021) — Milligan University’s VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program has provided free, IRS-certified tax return preparation to local citizens for over a decade. The program, sponsored by Bank of Tennessee and Carter County Bank, will be held three Saturdays during the 2021 filing season: Feb. 27, March 13 and March 27.
