Christian comedian Bob Stromberg to perform at Milligan

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (July 12, 2011) — Christian comedian Bob Stromberg will perform at family night at Milligan College on Wednesday, July 27, at 7 p.m. in the Mary B. Martin Auditorium of Seeger Memorial Chapel. This event is free and open to the public.

For more than 30 years, Stromberg has delighted audiences of all ages with his perfect blend of standup, story and shtick. Always clean, his presentation is a disarming healthy blend of knee-slapping comedy and wholesome encouragement. His arsenal of gifts includes physical comedy, a non-threatening touch of audience participation and tender stories from his own experiences.

He is the co-author and original star of the hit theatrical comedy “Triple Espresso (A Highly Caffeinated Comedy),” which has been seen by nearly 2 million people from San Diego to the West End of London.

The free family night at Milligan is presented by Youth in Ministry, an organization that helps students explore God’s call for their lives. This summer, 80 youth from 13 states and 50 churches will attend the Youth in Ministry Student Leadership Conference, held on Milligan’s campus July 24-30.

“Every year during the Student Leadership Conference, YiM brings a special guest to Milligan and plans an event that is open to the entire community,” said Phyllis Fox, director of YiM and church relations at Milligan. “We have plenty of seating in Seeger Chapel and the event is free, so it’s a great activity for church youth groups, families and individuals who want a fun, uplifting evening of entertainment.”

No reservations are required. Doors open for seating at 6:30 p.m.
