MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (April 20, 2009) – Dr. Hanna Massad, minister of Gaza Evangelical Church, Palestine, will speak at Milligan College on Tuesday, April 28, at 11 a.m. in Seeger Memorial Chapel and again on Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. in the Stephens Annex located in Sutton Hall. Massad will discuss the state of Christian faith in the Middle East nations. Both sessions are free and open to the public.
Born in Gaza City, Massad received his bachelor of arts degree from Bethlehem Bible College. He served as the minister of Gaza Evangelical Church in Gaza City until he came to the United States to attend Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, Calif., where he received his master’s of divinity in 1994 and Ph.D. in theology in 2000. While studying at Fuller, Massad served as the pastor of First Baptist Church of Azusa, Calif. Massad returned to Gaza City after his time at Fuller to serve in the position he currently holds.
In addition to his appearances at Milligan, Massad also will speak in chapel at Emmanuel School of Religion on Tuesday morning, April 28, at 9:30 a.m. He will attend Adoration at Hopwood Memorial Christian Church on Tuesday evening at 9 p.m. On Wednesday evening, April 29, Massad will speak at Munsey Memorial Methodist Church in Johnson City at 6:15 p.m.
