“Houses of the Lord” – Photography Exhibition

A photography exhibition by Amy Shumaker (’20)

In 2019, photographer and alumna Amy Shumaker began documenting the aesthetic and geographical landscape of churches throughout East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. This exhibition details the many architectural and theological styles of the Appalachian Christian subcultures.

The gallery will be open October 29 – November 4.

An opening reception will take place during Homecoming Weekend, Saturday, October 29 at 11:00 am.
