“Effusion” opens this Friday


MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (February 19, 2004) — Andrew Hopper, a senior business administration major with legal studies/music ministry minor from Pendleton, Ind., will present his senior photography exhibit this weekend. The opening gala is Feb. 20 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. on the Milligan College campus in McMahan Student Center.

Titled “effusion”, which means a pouring out of light, th e show contains images from Seattle Skylines to Athenian Sunsets with Appalachian streams and Midwestern corn fields in between.

He has extensive experience in photography, shooting competition prints for ten years in the 4-H program, working as an Indiana Pacers press photographer, as well as working as the Milligan College Public Relations photographer. Other work experience includes The Pendleton Times hometown newspaper, Davis Image Design, Milligan College yearbook and newspaper. He also founded Hopper Photography and has done studio work for the past 4 years shooting weddings, families, seniors and events.

Awards include National 4-H foundation Washington D.C. Selection Award and the Indiana State Fair choice of show award.

Hopper has been involved with the Student Government Association (SGA) at Milligan for the past four years, recently serving as the student body president. He is a member of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society and the Christian Pre-Law Association. His plans include finishing his music ministry minor at Milligan next year and going to law school the following year.
