Jeff Bourn joined the Milligan women’s basketball staff in August 2014 after more than 12 years of multi-recreational coaching experience.
Prior to Milligan, Bourn coached girls middle school basketball at Moncure School in Moncure, North Carolina, for four seasons. During his time at Moncure School, Bourn was actively involved in Young Life and also gained additional coaching experience with girls and boys soccer, cross-country and track.
At the high school level, Bourn assistant coached the junior varsity boys team at Northwood High School for one season (2012-13).
Originally from Lisle, Illinois, Bourn attended Milligan and played for former men’s basketball coach Ron Reed in the 1982-83 season. Bourn was then brought on as an undergraduate assistant coach for Reed during the 1983-84 and 1984-85 seasons. Bourn graduated from Milligan in 1986 with a double major in business and accounting.
Bourn and his wife, Brenda, have three children: twin girls, Silvia and Diana, and a son, Ethan, who is a Milligan graduate. The Bourn family currently resides in Elizabethton, Tennessee.
