MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (Oct. 1, 2019) — Students interested in Milligan College’s Master of Science in Counseling (MSC) program can participate in a “Student for a Night” event on Thursday, Oct. 24, from 5:30-7 p.m. Participants will meet in the college’s Taylor-Phillips House, located on Alf Taylor Road.
Prospective students have the opportunity to sit in a “Theory and Practice of Counseling” class taught by Dr. Shauna Nefos Webb, associate professor of counseling. Participants can also connect with current students and tour the college’s counseling center.
“Our ‘Student for a Night’ events are the perfect opportunities to experience what it’s like to be a graduate student at Milligan,” said Stacy Shankle, admissions recruiter for Milligan’s healthcare programs. “Students will be able to interact with our professors and current students in the program, in addition to participating in a graduate-level course.”
Milligan recently announced the expansion of its graduate counseling program to include a concentration in addictions counseling this fall, thanks to support from Ballad Health and the BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Health Foundation.
The MSC program also offers concentrations in clinical mental health counseling and school counseling. In addition, a certificate of graduate study in counseling ministry is available.
