MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (March 16, 2018) — Milligan College senior Keila Lau-Lopez, of Washington, D.C., will showcase her photography and design work March 18-23 in the Milligan Art Gallery located in Derthick Hall. The exhibit, titled “Local Objects,” opens Sunday, March 18, with a reception from 2-4 p.m. The reception and exhibit are free and open to the public.
“My art is a reflection on the idea of Americanness and what it means to grow up as a first generation Hispanic-American,” said Lau-Lopez, who is a double major in photography and graphic design. “I photographed local places and objects that distinctly remind me of my childhood.”
