MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (April 13, 2016) — There are a lot of questions to ask as an upcoming college freshman: Where is the dining hall? How do you get text books? What will other students be like?
Milligan College’s Connections orientation hopes to answer these questions and more for prospective students on April 22-23. An additional orientation is scheduled for June 10-11.
The two-day program is specifically designed to help make incoming students feel at home on campus before they arrive in the fall and help parents feel comfortable sending their children to Milligan.
“The weekend’s purpose is to connect students and parents to Milligan, introduce them to valuable relationships with faculty and staff who can help them transition into life at Milligan in August and connect with other families who also are on the same journey,” said Dr. Lee Fierbaugh, Milligan’s vice president for marketing and enrollment management.
Students can not only meet professors and their faculty mentor at Connections, but they also can make their fall semester schedule, get a student ID made, meet a lot of other students and tour campus with their family. Parents also can attend sessions that will help prepare them for not only sending their children off to college, but how to support them through the college experience.
