MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (March 7, 2016) — Whether you’re a “History Buff,” a “Sports Buff,” a “Science Buff” or an “Arts Buff,” prospective students will experience what it’s like to be a Milligan College Buff at a visit day event on Friday, March 18.
Named “Be a Buff Day” in honor of Milligan’s mascot, Brutus the Buffalo, this visit day will provide high school juniors, seniors and college transfers, as well as their families, a snapshot of campus life packed into one day.
The event includes opportunities for students to meet one-on-one with current students and faculty, tour campus and learn more about financial aid, scholarships and Milligan’s more than 100 majors, minors, pre-professional degrees, concentrations and graduate programs.
“‘Be a Buff Day’ is the perfect way for potential students to learn more about Milligan College,” said Kristin Wright, director of admissions. “Students here are known by name, and at the visit day, they can talk face-to-face with students, faculty and staff to understand just how much care and individual attention the Milligan community provides.”
“Be a Buff Day” check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Gregory Center with light refreshments available. Lunch will be provided in the McCormick Dining Center for students and their families.
Students interested in studying music can audition for scholarships at Milligan from 2-6 p.m. in Seeger Chapel. To learn more about Milligan’s music area and to schedule an audition, contact Rita Myers, music area secretary, at 423.461.8723. If necessary, auditions can be scheduled on an individual basis or via video.
