MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (April 11, 2008) — The Milligan College theater department will take the stage April 24-26 to perform William Shakespeare’s “Comedy of Errors.” The production will be the theater department’s first performance in the college’s new Elizabeth Leitner Gregory Center for the Liberal Arts, which opened in late January.
Directed by Dick Major, professor of theater and chairman for the Area of Performing, Visual and Communicative Arts, “Comedy of Errors” combines slapstick humor and mistaken identity for a tale of two sets of identical twins who find each other after being separated for 25 years. Before the other characters in the story discover who each of the twins really are, a series of mistaken identities leads to wrongful beatings, the arrest of one of the men, theft and chaos.
“Comedy of Errors” will be held at 7:30 p.m. each night. Tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased at the door or in advance by calling 423.461.8771. Seating is limited for each performance.
