MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (March 11, 2011) — “Around 28664,” a photography exhibit by Milligan College senior O. Caitlyn Wise, takes visitors on a trip to the photographer’s hometown, Plumtree, N.C. The exhibit will be on display in the Milligan Art Gallery Sunday, March 20, through Saturday, March 26.
The opening reception is Sunday, March 20, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the gallery, located in the lower level of Milligan’s Derthick Hall. It is free and open to the public.
This documentary of Wise’s North Carolina hometown and surrounding areas will feature both film and digital prints.
“We each have a zip code that tells a bit of our story,” said Wise. “‘Around 28664’ is my story.”
Wise hopes that her photographs will not only tell a story about Plumtree, but also bring out the humor in everyday life, family and love.
