Scholarship Details
Audition Dates and Requirements
In-person auditions are preferred, If you are unable to attend one of the audition dates below, another date can be assigned to you. In circumstances where an in-person audition is not possible, an audition via YouTube or other video format links will be accepted.
2025 Auditions: January 18 and February 8
- Singing: Perform two memorized songs in contrasting styles that demonstrate your range and versatility. Selections should be from musical theatre repertoire, with at least one piece from the Golden Era (pre-1970). Both selections should be accompanied, and an accompanist will be provided. Please bring clean, well-marked sheet music in the appropriate key, organized neatly in a binder.
- Acting: Perform a memorized one-minute monologue that showcases your abilities. Selections should be from published plays and exhibit some journey or discovery element. Also, the chosen character should be within a reasonable span of your own age. Please avoid monologues that require heavy accents, eccentric character traits, or specific costumes or props.

McGlothlin-Street Theatre
Elizabeth Leitner Gregory Center for the Liberal Arts houses the McGlothlin-Street Theatre. The theatre includes a 294-seat theatre with a proscenium stage, fly system, orchestra pit, green room, dressing rooms, box office, and concessions area, ideal for productions of Shakespeare and other plays. The theatre is used for the University’s celebrated theatre arts and musical theatre programs, humanities program, academic lecture series, and various campus and community events.
Mary B. Martin Auditorium & George O. Walker Auditorium
Seeger Memorial Chapel is a multi-purpose structure serving the University in worship, instruction, lectures, concerts, and drama. The Mary B. Martin Auditorium, on the main level of the chapel, seats 1145 and is a fine arts venue for various performances. The George O. Walker Auditorium, located on the lower level, accommodates 125 and is an additional venue to showcase theatre dance and other performances.
