Lindsay Worley

Dr. Lindsay Worley is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Milligan University, teaching calculus, logic, statistics, and differential equations. Her research focuses on hydraulic modeling and multi-objective optimization tools to aid in the development of a more holistic approach to river restoration design and conservation planning at the basin and watershed scales.

Dr. Worley has published “Balancing Multiple Stakeholder Objectives for Floodplain Reconnection Wetland Restoration” in the Journal of Environmental Management in 2023. She also published “Semi-automated Hydraulic Model Wrapper to Support Stakeholder Evaluation: A Floodplain Reconnection Study Using 2D Hydrologic Engineering Center’s River Analysis System” in River Research and Applications in 2021.

Dr. Worley is passionate about working on projects and research that have a direct impact on people and the environment, and she hopes to inspire her students to find work that drives their spirit. Her favorite aspect about working at Milligan is the connection she develops with her students. With Milligan’s small-class sizes, she can get to know her students and encourage them as they strive towards their academic, career, and faith goals.
