Kimberly Melinsky
Associate Professor of Business Administration; Director of the MBA Program
Dr. Kimberly Melinsky serves as an Associate Professor of Business at Milligan University, where she also serves as the MBA Director, Director of Business Area Internship Placement, VITA Site Coordinator, and Faculty Advisor for the Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society. She is passionate about Milligan’s business programs and enjoys connecting students with organizations to provide real-world experience and opportunities for growth.
Dr. Melinsky’s research interests lie in areas of strategy and leadership, including corporate governance, CEO power and influence, entrepreneurship, and generational differences in work ethic. Currently, she is working on a project that examines the governance relationships associated with performance and CEO power.
With extensive professional experience, Dr. Melinsky has worked for Big 4 accounting firms, served as a controller for a Professional Employer Organization (PEO), and held a position at a Fortune 1 company, where she led an international team to clean up over $120 million in account balances in under 8 months. Academically, she has developed graduate and undergraduate programs and certificates in business and leadership.
Dr. Melinsky has published articles on topics including work ethic, business education, and the influence of telecommuting. She also authored a dissertation on financial restatement and governance mechanisms and has presented at both local and national conferences on entrepreneurship and work ethic.
Dr. Melinsky accepted Christ at a young age and since early adulthood has felt a strong vocational calling to work with teens and young adults in helping them fulfill their calling. She is passionate about servant-leadership and serves on leadership teams and boards of organizations that look to train and inspire servant-leadership in teens and young adults.
Dr. Melinsky is passionate about Milligan’s mission and admires the university’s strong focus on faith and service. She loves helping students discover their vocational calling by guiding them through the right combination of coursework and internship experiences. She is also grateful to collaborate with talented colleagues who share her passion for shaping the next generation of servant-leaders.
