Mary Nell McIntyre
Assistant Professor of Education
Mary McIntyre is an Assistant Professor of Education at Milligan University. Her research focuses on literacy, differentiated instruction, and edTPA preparation. At Milligan she teaches, supervises student teachers and interns, and guides students through the edTPA certification process.
McIntyre has 35 years of experience in public education. She served as a teacher for 18 years and as an elementary school principal for 13 years. As a principal, she received a $100,000 donation for her school through The Ellen Show and Target. In addition, she was involved in the pilot program of The University of Tennessee’s literacy modules.
McIntyre appreciates her colleagues at Milligan and is passionate about connecting with her students. She attends North Ridge Community Church where she serves on the worship team and is active in a small group.
