Dr. Karen Kelly is Professor of Anatomy at Milligan University and has taught in the Occupational Therapy and Physician Assistant programs since their conception. Her research specialties include anatomical education and program development.
Dr. Kelly is a member of the Human Anatomical Gift Donor Committee of the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society. This society is committed to helping educators learn best practices for dissection, anatomy lab design, anatomy education, and human body donor stewardship. She also has an interest and has published on the topic of STEM education in rural Appalachia.
Dr. Kelly’s personal faith journey began as a child. She was raised in a Christian home by her parents, a minister and teacher, who met at Milligan. She has served God in many capacities and churches across the country and currently serves in the worship ministry at First Christian Church in Johnson City.
