Whitney Hanor
Assistant Professor of Physician Assistant Studies
Whitney Hanor serves as Core Instructional Faculty for the Physician Assistant Studies Program at Milligan University. With over 10 years of clinical experience, she specializes in Urgent Care/Outpatient medicine and offers key instruction in Gastrointestinal, HEENT, Hematology, Pediatrics, HIV, and Global Health medical topics.
Whitney is deeply passionate about international and rural relief medicine. Throughout her career, she has led numerous medical mission trips, providing care in countries such as Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Brazil, Haiti, Mexico, and Uganda. She is dedicated to teaching students about global health and the transformative impact of serving those in need.
Whitney’s doctoral project focuses on analyzing the pre-test probability and time frame of risk associated with Long-Covid and its potential link to hypercoagulable states, leading to Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) or Pulmonary Embolism (PE). She is particularly passionate about guiding students to understand the importance of practicing medicine among underserved populations, emphasizing a faith-driven approach to healthcare.
A committed Christian, Whitney came to know Jesus on July 5, 1998, and has been transformed by Him ever since. She serves regularly at Calvary Church in Gray, TN, and deeply values the opportunity to witness the transformation of Physician Assistant students as they grow from students into skilled clinicians. The greatest joy of her work at Milligan is watching students mature both professionally and personally in such a short time. She finds it life-giving to see them catch a glimpse of what it means to practice medicine with compassion and purpose, and she cherishes being part of their journey of growth and Kingdom work.
