Craig Farmer

Dr. Craig Farmer is a Professor of History and Humanities at Milligan University, where he serves as the Associate Dean for the School of Arts and Humanities and holds the Joel O. and Mabel Stephens Chair of Bible. His academic expertise encompasses church history, Islam, and the history of biblical interpretation.
Dr. Farmer’s notable achievements include authoring The Gospel of John in the Sixteenth Century (Oxford University Press) and editing The Reformation Commentary on Scripture: The Gospel of John 1-12. His scholarly contributions have established him as a respected voice in the fields of Reformation history and biblical interpretation.
Outside of his academic pursuits, Dr. Farmer serves as an elder and choir director at Hopwood Christian Church, reflecting his commitment to faith and community. He finds great joy in teaching students who have a sincere desire to explore new ideas and broaden their understanding.
