Daniel Cutshall

Dr. Daniel Cutshall is an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at Milligan University, where he is dedicated to teaching engineering courses, advising and mentoring students, and leading hands-on engineering projects. His primary areas of interest include electronics and renewable energy technologies and systems.

Dr. Cutshall has been significantly involved in impactful projects at Milligan, such as adapting ride-on vehicles for children with disabilities (Go Baby Go), developing an off-grid clean water system for refugees in Piedras Negras, Mexico, and designing a solar-powered well pump for Turkana, Kenya. His scholarly contributions include two first-author journal publications and several co-authored works in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Cutshall’s passion for teaching began during graduate school, with a vision of returning to northeast Tennessee to be close to family. He believes the timing of his faculty position at Milligan was a clear example of God at work. Beyond teaching, he cherishes the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with his students and lead engineering projects that serve communities and improve lives.
