Beverly Brown

Assistant Professor of Nursing

Hardin Hall, 305

Beverly Brown is a full-time faculty member in the Nursing Department at Milligan University. Her responsibilities include lecture and clinical instruction for students in their sophomore, junior, and senior years.

Her research interests focus on advancements in the care of neonate and obstetric patients. Additionally, she is certified in Nursing Informatics, an area she finds particularly relevant as it continues to influence nursing practice. Beverly became certified in In-patient Obstetrics through AWHONN and is also certified in Nursing Informatics, which she utilized to help build a new course for the nursing department.

Beverly’s faith journey has deeply shaped her life. Growing up, her grandmother ensured that she and her family were involved in church, but it wasn’t until she wandered from her faith during a family crisis that she truly realized how important this foundation was. Through God’s guidance and restoration, her faith was renewed, and she recognizes that her journey has always been steered by the Lord.

She finds it a great blessing to work with staff and students at Milligan, where faith and community are encouraged. Beverly treasures the look of pride on her students’ faces when they graduate and feels honored to help foster the development of these servant-leaders in healthcare.
