David Brickle

Dr. David Brickle is an Assistant Professor of Music at Milligan University, where he teaches piano and music theory. He has performed extensively across the United States, Puerto Rico, and internationally in Spain, with appearances on broadcasts such as NPR’s Performance Today, ETV Radio’s On the Keys, and Blue Lake Public Radio.

An accomplished soloist, Dr. Brickle has been featured in several concert series, including the Lander University Emerging Keyboard Artist Series and the Festival of Keys, and has performed as a concerto soloist with the Anderson Symphony Orchestra. He has also participated in numerous music festivals, including the Southern Exposure Concert Series and the South Carolina Governor’s School Discovery Summer Music Program. Additionally, Dr. Brickle has been recognized in several competitions, winning awards in the South Carolina and Southern Division MTNA competitions, the FSU Chapman/Neesen Piano Competition, and the Roundtop Festival Institute Chamber Music Competition, among others.

As an avid collaborator, Dr. Brickle frequently performs with his wife, Dr. Marianna Brickle, as a violin and piano duo. They have given numerous recitals across the United States, including performances at City University of New York – College of Staten Island and the Alabama Music Teachers Association. He is also active in the Brickle/Chan Piano Duo with Dr. Chia-Ying Chan, delivering recitals and masterclasses at institutions such as Indiana University Bloomington and the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign.

Dr. Brickle is passionate about advancing arts education and frequently offers performances, lectures, and masterclasses for community organizations. He has served as an adjudicator for state, regional, and international competitions, and teaches at summer programs such as the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and the FSU Summer Piano Institute.
