Curtis Booher

Professor of Christian Ministries

Faculty Office Center, 118

Dr. Curtis Booher is a Professor of Christian Ministries at Milligan University, where he teaches both Old Testament and New Testament courses each year, along with a variety of practical ministry courses such as Student Ministry, Preaching, Foundations of Ministry, and Ministry in a Changing Culture. He is also an adviser and is involved in the Ministry Leadership Program.

Dr. Booher has spent much of his career in ministry, having served in various roles at Crossroads Christian Church for over 30 years. Throughout his time there, he has worked as a children’s minister, student minister, young adult minister, and lead minister, often balancing these roles while teaching at Milligan. In addition, he has led numerous seminars and consultations aimed at training and developing people in ministry.

Dr. Booher decided to pursue a life of ministry following the death of his younger brother, Kenneth, when he was sixteen. Kenneth was a junior at Milligan at the time, and his commitment to being a disciple of Christ inspired Dr. Booher to evaluate his own level of commitment. It was a turning point in his faith.

He loves serving at Milligan because his interactions with students help him grow. The depth of questions that students ask in the classroom keeps him digging for answers and becomes a catalyst for continued learning. The depth of their love for God and others inspires him to become better as a person.
