On Mission: The Campaign for Milligan University

For more than 150 years, Milligan University has been equipping students to lead and serve with its bold and timeless mission to honor God by educating men and women to be servant-leaders.

While we have adapted academic offerings and campus facilities to meet changing demands, our purpose and commitment to the Christian liberal arts has remained. And today, against a backdrop of social and cultural discord, the world’s need for Milligan’s Christian mission has never been more clear, and our commitment to our mission has never been more certain.

On Mission: The Campaign for Milligan University, a comprehensive campaign, recognizes the importance of our mission. Please join with us in this important work.

On Mission for Milligan

Milligan is committed to advancing the cause of Christian higher education and to being a beacon in our region, our country, and our world, delivering an exceptional educational experience within a hallmark Christian environment. Milligan’s On Mission comprehensive campaign, as well as future fundraising efforts of the university, will continue to provide for the needs of the university in order to prepare future generations of Milligan students for impact.

Your partnership will help us:

  • increase affordability for our students through scholarship and program support.
  • develop, improve, and expand academic programs to meet the changing needs of our students and the marketplace.
  • renew and construct university facilities and programs to sustain our vibrant campus community, enhance the student experience, and support our scholar athletes.
  • support and strengthen our commitment to faith as we pursue the crucial work of preparing our students for lives of impact and service at home, in the Church, in the workplace, and in the world.

Callie, student living "On Mission"
Callee ('24)

Callee, a student ministry major from Kingsport, Tennessee, lives out Milligan’s mission of servant-leadership in her daily life.

Last summer, Callee interned with Removing the Barriers, a nonprofit located in Florida aimed at transforming disabilities into opportunities. Locally, she volunteers with Brother’s Keeper, empowering adults with special needs to be all they can be. After graduation, she plans to start a summer camp for children with special needs.

Callee is “On Mission” and grateful to all those who support student scholarships, helping make her  Milligan experience possible.
