MILLIGAN UNIVERSITY, Tenn. (February 18, 2022) – Milligan’s musical theatre program will present “A Grand Night for Singing” Feb. 24-26 in the McGlothlin-Street Theatre located in the Gregory Center.

The musical production features the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein, the Broadway songwriting team who produced “Oklahoma!” “Carousel,” “South Pacific,” “The King and I,” and “The Sound of Music.”

“For longtime musical theatre fans, hearing the songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein may take them back to listening to records or watching movies or shows,” said Jamie Buxton, assistant professor of musical theatre. “With its clever vocal arrangements, elegant sets and costumes, and delightful production numbers, A Grand Night for Singing is sure to keep audiences humming long after they leave the theatre.”

“A Grand Night for Singing” originally opened on Broadway in 1993 and was nominated for the 1994 Tony Award for best musical.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m., Feb. 24-26. All seats are $10. Tickets can be purchased in advance at milligan.tix.com. Learn more at Milligan.edu
