MILLIGAN UNIVERSITY, TENN. (November 12, 2021) — Dr. Kristal Dove, associate professor of business administration at Milligan University, will present her research on financial growth and human development within South Central Appalachia on Monday, Nov. 15, at 6 p.m. in Hyder Auditorium.
Dove’s presentation is part of the university’s Faculty Lecture Series which is free and open to the public.
In her presentation, “Measuring Financial Impact: Assessing Growth and Development in South Central Appalachia,” Dove will help attendees foster a greater understanding of the nature of various economic, education and health measures within the region. She will look at how different Community Development Financial Institutions are working to promote the regional development demonstrated by these measures.
Dove’s current research focuses on creating an assessment tool that evaluates development in relation to the initiatives instituted by Community Development Financial Institutions.
Dove has taught full-time at Milligan since 2015 and recently earned a Doctor of Business Administration in finance from Anderson University. She also holds an International MBA from the University of South Carolina, a master’s in Christian formation and ministry from Wheaton College, and a bachelor’s in business administration and history from Milligan. Dove’s previous work includes a variety of roles in college student development, church ministry, and financial services.
