MILLIGAN, Tenn. (April 20, 2021) — Milligan University will offer students, faculty and staff the opportunity to receive the Moderna vaccine beginning this Thursday, April 22, at the university’s Gilliam Wellness Center.
The Moderna vaccine is a two-dose vaccination. For students leaving the region after the end of the semester, they have the option to receive the first dose on Milligan’s campus and the second dose at another location within the United States. VaccineFinder can help determine where and what type of vaccine is available on a state-by-state basis.
“Providing the Moderna vaccine is the next step in Milligan’s efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19,” said Milligan President Dr. Bill Greer. “By offering the vaccine on campus, we want to make it convenient for our community to protect themselves and others.”
Safety procedures, such as practicing social distancing and wearing face masks, have been followed throughout the academic year to ensure that Milligan’s distinctive educational experience overcame the challenges of COVID-19. As the semester concludes next week, the university has successfully provided students with an on-campus experience.
Students and employees may schedule an appointment for the Moderna vaccine at milligan.edu/health.
