Milligan’s RN to BSN program now online

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (September 18, 2018) – Beginning in January 2019, Milligan College’s degree completion program in nursing will offer coursework entirely online. Students will meet the program’s clinical course outcomes in their local community and work environment. This program is designed for the practicing registered nurse (RN) who desires to complete a Bachelor of Science in nursing degree (BSN).

“The format of this accelerated program makes it possible for RNs to earn a BSN conveniently, affordably and with the personalized attention that students have come to expect from the faculty at Milligan,” said Dr. Melinda Collins, chair of Milligan’s nursing program. “There is an increasing demand for RNs prepared at the bachelor’s level, and our program will help nurses seamlessly continue their education while they work.”

The BSN degree is preferred by most nursing leaders and provides the best opportunities in today’s job market, including one of the highest starting salaries in any field. A BSN is required for many positions and is an entry point for graduate studies, including nurse practitioner and nurse anesthetist programs.

Milligan’s RN to BSN program is designed for adults who have completed 27 or more semester hours of college credit and are employed as an RN. Completing the major takes as few as 19 months.

Applications for the program are currently available. For more information about the RN to BSN program, contact Jennifer Duran at 423.461.8424 or visit www.milligan.edu/rn-bsn.
