MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (April 24, 2018)—Milligan College presents its annual evening of student storytelling, “Buffalo Tales,” Thursday, April 26, 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the college’s McGlothlin-Street Theatre located in the Gregory Center. The event is free and open to the public.
This event, which serves as a final exam for students in this semester’s storytelling class, taught by Dr. Bruce Montgomery, professor of communications, has become an annual favorite.
“My favorite part about this event is that I get to watch my students grow and shine as storytellers,” said Montgomery, who has been teaching storytelling at Milligan for almost 11 years. “There will be a wide variety of stories, including children’s, Bible and personal stories. This family-friendly event will be a fun evening of entertainment.”
Junior Tessa Stevenson, Hampton, Tennessee, a political science major, said that she will be telling the “most embarrassing moment from my life” at both performances.
“This story is special to me because it taught me that one embarrassing thing won’t ruin you forever,” said Stevenson. “Storytelling has taught me that I can connect to so many different people on a multitude of levels.”
