MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (April 13, 2018) — The opportunity for working teachers to advance their careers in education just got more convenient: Milligan College is offering a Master of Education in curriculum and teaching completely online.
Teaching licensure is not required for admission, and the program can be completed in four semesters—or at one’s own pace. It is a non-licensure program designed for individuals who already hold a teaching licensure or for those who don’t need licensure.
“Working teachers shouldn’t have to sacrifice the time devoted to their jobs or families,” said Dr. Angela Hilton-Prillhart, area chair of education. “And with Milligan’s new online M.Ed., they won’t have to sacrifice quality— our caring education faculty are committed to offering the personalized attention that makes a Milligan education unique.”
With NCATE accreditation, each graduate’s degree is instantly recognized in Tennessee and the nation for its quality. With numerous regional school partnerships, Milligan’s education programs have deep roots in area school systems, where many Milligan alumni serve as teachers, coaches and administrators. School administrators consistently seek out Milligan grads.
Milligan also offers an initial licensure M.Ed. program, as well as Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.) and Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degrees.
