MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (November 17, 2017)—Milligan College’s music department will perform their annual Christmas concert on both Saturday, Dec. 2, and Sunday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the college’s Mary B. Martin Auditorium located in Seeger Chapel. The concerts are free and open to the public.
“The annual Christmas concert is a wonderful time for Milligan music students and faculty to give a gift to the community of wonderful music in a beautiful setting,” said Dr. Kellie Brown, orchestra director. “In addition to the audience favorites we play each year, we plan to add new selections that are sacred expressions of Advent.”
Brown, who has been directing the concert since 2004, described her favorite moment.
“I love when all of the lights are off and the audience holds up their candles to sing ‘Silent Night,’” said Brown. “There is a wonderful spirit in the entire concert, a worshipful approach to the start of the Christmas season.”
An offering with a suggested donation of $5 will be taken to benefit the college’s music program.
