MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (January 20, 2017) – Milligan College senior Brittany Helms, of Kingsport, Tennessee, will present a showcase of her photography on Sunday, Jan. 29, along with a free, public reception in the Milligan Art Gallery located in Derthick Hall. The show will run until Friday, Feb. 3.
Helms is a fine arts major with a double emphasis in fine art and photography. Titled “Sweet Tea & Sunshine: A Song of the South,” her photography show focuses on landscapes, scenes and people in North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia and Tennessee. It will feature both film and digital prints in black and white, as well as color.
Helms also will present a fine arts show on April 9-14.
The next senior show will feature the photography of Abbi Jones, Greeneville, Tennessee, on Feb. 12-17. Each senior show includes a free reception on Sunday afternoon, 2-4 p.m. in the Milligan Art Gallery.
