MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (March 16, 2015) — Milligan College’s annual Webb Lecture Series welcomes Brian Jobe, senior pastor at Harvester Christian Church in St. Charles, Missouri, on Tuesday, March 24, and Thursday, March 26, at 11 a.m. in the Mary B. Martin Auditorium located in Seeger Chapel.
On Tuesday, Jobe, an alumnus of Milligan (’95) and Emmanuel Christian Seminary (’98), will lecture on “Clarifying the Restoration Dream.” On Thursday, he will address “Embodying the Restoration Dream in the Next Generation.” The lectures are free and open to the public.
Prior to his leadership role at Harvester Christian Church in 2009, Jobe served as a regional campus pastor and member of the Teaching Team at Savannah Christian Church in Georgia for 11 years.
Milligan’s Webb Lecture Series is named for Dr. Henry and the late Emerald Webb. Henry Webb was a professor of Bible at Milligan for more than 40 years.
“The Webb Lectures are a highlight for the region’s Christian churches and churches of Christ each year,” said Phyllis Fox, director of church relations. “It reminds us that the roots of the Stone-Campbell Movement are deep, purposeful and practical. We are grateful to the Webb family for their insight and generosity in making the Webb Lecture Series possible.”
