MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (April 5, 2013) — Erin Raines, a music major at Milligan College, will present her senior piano recital on Friday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the Mary B. Martin Auditorium, located in Milligan’s Seeger Memorial Chapel. The recital is free and open to the public.
The program will feature music by Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Chopin, Debussy, Milhaud and Villa-Lobos.
Raines, a native of Mechanicsville, Va., has accompanied the Milligan Concert Choir for four years, serving as its president since 2011. A frequent accompanist for student vocalists and instrumentalists, she also has been a member of the a cappella ensemble Heritage for three years, filling the role of assistant conductor for two years. In 2012, she worked as a counselor for the Milligan Summer Fine Arts Academy and was the recipient of the Outstanding Music Student Award scholarship.
