‘A Room of My Own’ photo exhibit opens at Milligan

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (March 28, 2013) — “A Room of My Own,” a photography exhibit by Milligan College senior Courtney Dennis, will be on display from April 7-13 in the Milligan Art Gallery, located in the lower level of Derthick Hall.

There will be an opening reception on Sunday, April 7, from 2-4 p.m. in the Art Gallery. The event is free and open to the public.

Dennis, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, is majoring in fine arts (photography).

“The way light plays off different materials catches my eye,” Dennis said. “Light can tell a story. I find it intriguing how something so simple as a change in how the light shines into a scene could transform the entire story.”
