MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (March 13, 2013) — Dr. Tom Lawson will be the keynote speaker during Milligan College’s annual Spiritual Renewal Week, March 18-22.
Lawson will speak on Tuesday, March 19, and Thursday, March 21, at 11 a.m. in Milligan’s Mary B. Martin Auditorium, located in Seeger Memorial Chapel. He will speak again at a worship service on Wednesday, March 20, at 8 p.m. in Milligan’s McMahan Student Center. These events are free and open to the public.
Lawson has taught in Christian higher education for 25 years, with a focus on the theology and history of Christian worship. He serves on the faculty of Ozark Christian College (Joplin, Mo.), where he teaches worship, Old Testament and New Testament. From 1987 to 2003, he was professor of New Testament at Kentucky Christian University (Grayson, Ky.). He served as minister of the North Syracuse (N.Y.) Church from 1982 to 1987.
Spiritual Renewal Week will begin on Monday, March 18, at 9 p.m., with a Walk in the Word event in Walker Auditorium, located in the lower level of Seeger Memorial Chapel. Milligan junior Zach MacLellan will speak. The week concludes with a celebration service on Friday, March 22, at 5:30 p.m., on Milligan’s Derthick Lawn. Dr. Curtis Booher, associate professor of Christian ministries at Milligan, will speak.
